Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. We accept card payments. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency. We accept Visa and MasterCard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone, fax or by post. If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake. When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. |

UK Mainland Delivery We charge £4.95 postage for orders under £45.00 which gives you Same Day Despatch for orders received by 3.00pm we use The Royal Mail 1st Class signed for delivery sevice expected delivery is 1 - 3 working days. International Delivery We use the Royal Mail Airmail Airsure service, this means your goods are sent on the earliest possible flight and receive priority Handling. Delivery Schedule
We deliver your order right away. We will normally send your order to you in <days> business days. International orders are generally received in under <days> days. You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence. You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received. |

Returns Policy
Returns Policy:- If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 14 days of purchase in its original condition and packaging (e.g. box). We will refund the product price, but we will not refund postage costs. We reserve the right to impose a £25 charge (or otherwise where deemed appropriate) if the goods/box are returned in a condition that we deem unacceptable for re-sale. The box should not be defaced or damaged in any way. Please ensure your name and address are clearly visible on the return form. If you require an exchange please give us full details of your requirements. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. We recommend that you obtain proof of delivery for your return as we are not liable for goods lost in transit. All shoe and foot care products are non returnable. Should you have a complaint or any comments please do not hesitate to Contact Us. Damaged goods In the event of goods being damaged in transit, the customer MUST NOTIFY The Company within 48 hours of receipt of goods otherwise no liability can be accepted by The Company. Damaged goods should be returned unused to arrive at Douglas Read Ltd, 34 South Street, Bridport, Dorset, DT6 3NQ within 10 days of receipt of goods by the customer. Where goods are damaged in transit, The Company will replace immediately on receipt of damaged goods being returned. Postage and Packaging costs will be refunded if valid postage receipt sent along with damaged item. Goods becoming faulty after usage should be returned to The Company immediately with original receipt or proof of purchase. The Company will either replace or where suitable repair as necessary if applicable. Claims re faulty goods will be assessed by The Company and The Company will adjudge the claim taking into account the age, amount of usage, correct care and maintenance by the customer etc. All claims will be subject to 'Fair Wear and Tear' with regards to the purpose which the goods are offered. The Company's decision is final. Action by The Company regarding claims against faulty goods should the claim be adjudged by The Company to be made justified in respect of defective workmanship and materials The Company will offer to replace or refund the payment made. The Company is liable for nothing more than the contract price of the goods which are the subject of the complaint. These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future. None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder. |
